Well, where to start? I was born in a small town (Northport) on Long Island, New York on January 27, 1969. (On the same day as Mozart, Lewis Carroll, and Donna Reed; pretty good company, huh?) I'll skip over the boring parts, like childhood, high school, blah blah. ;)
After a year or so of trying my hand in college, I found one I liked, and earned an Associate's of Science degree in Computer Science. I quickly found out that I needed more than that to really do anything with my life, so back to school I went. I moved out to Kansas City, Missouri (lovely place) and attended DeVry Institute of technology.
Well, it took three and a half years to get my degree, but I did it. It cost me money, but more importantly, a relationship that meant very much to me at the time. So, off I went to Austin, Texas to work for Applied Materials. Wouldn't you know it, after I had been there nine months, the company had a major layoff, and I was unemployed.
I struggled in Texas for a while, then finally admitted to myself that I needed help. My parents offered to have me stay with them while I looked for work in Florida. So, here I am, close to family (always a plus) with a job at Jabil Circuit, Inc.
